What We Do
GAIA has three working directions - Knowledge Sharing, Awareness Raising and Advocacy; Support of Businesses and Startups and Development of Georgian Artificial Intelligence. In all three directions, GAIA cooperates with association members and partners from private and public sector, academia, civil society and media.
In 2025, Georgia first presented a national student team at the International Olympiad in AI. To train a new generation of AI professionals, GAIA offers an Olympiad course to students and holds the National Olympiad to select the team.
GAIA supports large businesses and SMEs in increasing knowledge and implementing AI solutions through consultations and trainings from leading AI professionals.

Raising AI awareness
GAIA's long-term AI awareness initiative aims to spread knowledge about AI, its capabilities and impacts to the population and promote AI literacy through digital and traditional media and public lectures.

Georgia AI Summit
The Georgian AI Summit is an annual event where AI and data science professionals and partners discuss initiatives and future prospects for the development of artificial intelligence in Georgia.
In the AI Student Club, students from Georgian universities interested in AI research work together with curators on research projects. Moreover, leading AI professionals share their knowledge and experience with them.

Developing an AI strategy
GAIA works with government agencies, community groups, businesses, and donors to ensure that Georgia has an AI strategy and a vision for its development and adoption.

AI and ... | Lecture Series
AI and ... is a series of public lectures and workshops with a goal to raise awareness and promote knowledge sharing about AI and its impact in different fields such as law, education, marketing or science.

For GAIA members
Full and associate members of the association benefit from special offers and services - they receive constantly updated information, have a digital space for discussion and knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities. Most importantly, members contribute to the adoption and development of AI in Georgia.
The National AI Hackathon is held annually, and its participants work on creating quality AI products tailored to the Georgian market and real business challenges.

Speak for Georgia
Speak for Georgia is a joint project of GAIA and Common Voice Georgia, which contributes to the collection of data for the development of a Speech-to-Text model for the Georgian language.
